dc.description.abstractThe importance of live feed in aquaculture is stressed. Organisms currently cultured as live feed are microalgae, turbellarians, tanaidaceans, annelids, brine shrimps, fairy shrimps, rotifers, cladocerans and copepods. Their culture methods and yields under laboratory conditions are summarised. Problems and prospectives of live feed culture in India are discussed.
