dc.description.abstract Vertical profiles of air temperature, wind and humidity at Raichur (16 degrees 12'N and 77 degrees 21'E) in the lowest 200m of the atmosphere are presented for the period 15-18 February 1980. The effect of the total solar eclipse, on 16 February 1980 is seen in the lowering of air temperature in the entire air column, which persisted for a few hours
