dc.description.abstract The benthos from Beypore and Korapuzha estuaries were studied for one year. Environmental features, sediment characteristics and organic carbon content were estimated. Benthic density was high during monsoon and postmonsoon in both the estuaries and Korapuzha was highly productive compared to Beypore. Pollution tolerant and indicator organisms have been identified
