Research opportunities in pandemic lockdown
Abstract
The entire world is facing an unprecedented crisis today due to the spread of COVID-19. The most severely affected countries enforced a complete lockdown to minimize personal contacts, with only bare minimum, essential services, including medical, grocery stores allowed to function for a limited duration. The world's second most populated country, India, also enforced a complete lockdown beginning on Sunday, 22 March 2020. The complete lockdown of the entire country has severely affected the day-to-day life, especially of the daily wagers. However, the unprecedented situation with almost all the industrial units completely shut, provides a narrow window of a never before opportunity for several vital data, impossible to collect during the business as usual scenario.
